Hey Sharon:
I love your pictures of salad prepping and presentation. I am a salad-lover and am very much aware of how the way a salad looks just prepares your mouth for the delightful tastes. Using a mixture of very good-tasting fresh ingredients fulfills the promise of a pretty salad.
Great work!
The colors and shapes of fresh ingredients created by Mother Nature create beautiful salads.
Good to hear that you are a salad-lover. Eating salads should give you lots of energy and make you feel healthy. You can eat them anytime of the day. They can be an appetizer, main course or a desert.
Thats a very pretty salad. I would be afraid to mess it up by eating it. I love salads that are filling, and this sounds pretty nice and looks very pretty. As a big plus for me – there is no meat in it. Usually I just make food for myself, I don’t go to the trouble of making things look pretty – I just throw it all together. I think something like this is great if you are having a dinner party or lunch with friends.
Don’t be afraid of messing up the salad by eating it. It was made to be eaten. You can make a whole meal out of a salad. Even if you are just making food for yourself take an extra minute to make it look super delicious – you deserve to have awesome food.
Hi,
That looks great. The recipe itself have a huge amount of antioxidants and nutritional benefits. The colors are so bright and my mouth started watering just looking at the images.
Salads can taste great if we are creative about it. Salads are gross if it is monochromatic and not tasty. Taste doesn’t have to be a bunch of sauce. Ingredients adds flavors to many dishes that are healthies than empty calories.
Thanks,
Sofia
Love those antioxidants and nutrition – they help you to feel good. Once you start eating for energy and health your whole world changes.
The habit of prepping with fresh produce will make your mouth water. Hope you have a chance to enjoy an awesome salad soon.
I agree the sauce doesn’t have to be the main ingredient.
Hi Sharon, what a yummy looking salad. The beautiful thing about salad is that everyone can add vegetables they like or substitute individual ones. I love avocado and red onion so I put those ones in my salad as often as I can. Also, sweetcorn is nice with the bright yellow color. Your thousand islands dressing sounds delicious. Will definitely try it out. I think I need to eat more salad from now on. 🙂 You have inspired me.
Best,
Anke
Mix and match your veggies to create one of a kind salads that suit your tastes. I like avocado also, and must start adding more of them to my salads.
Love the idea of sweet corn. Fresh sweet corn raw or slightly cooked would be an awesome addition.
This is probably the first time I see a salad dish being presented so nicely on a plate instead of a bowl. In my home, we usually throw everything into a salad bowl, mix and it’s ready to serve.
I never actually thought that they could look so lovely and appetizing. It would be great to make this for the kids to encourage them to eat more greens. Thanks for sharing this wonderful idea.
Sometimes we make our salads in a bowl for large parties. But, most to the time we eat them as the main course.
Kids love to help make them because they can play with their food and they are fun to eat.
There are endless possibilities to creating a salad and each one is unique.
OMG the first photo of the salad is a work of art. If I could wake up to that every morning I would be a happy girl.
Normally I would say ‘minus the tomatoes’ but I’ve been training my taste buds to not mind them. I’ve always hated tomatoes and now they aren’t as bad!
Even with all my laziness, I have to make this soon. My boyfriend would love to try this also. He loves salad.
The beauty of nature shines in a salad making them look like works of art. There are so many different colors and shapes to work with.
Be creative with your salads and enjoy many meals together with your boyfriend.
My salads normally consist of the basics such as tomato, cucumber and lettuce. But now, I’m looking to become a little more creative with salads 🙂
Thanks for sharing your steps, the different salad ingredients to use and especially the toppings + homemade dressing because my salads can now have a bit more of a kick and excitement!
I’m very intrigued by Chia seeds as well. 🙂
Neil
There are so many interesting ingredients that you can add to salads that can turn them from a side dish into a main course.
My favorite dressing is homemade Thousand Island Dressing, it is a recipe passed along from my Mother-in-law. It has more flavor than the store brands and is easy to make.
Wow, this is probably the first site I’ll bookmark for later. I love the way you go over the recipes and items. I run a fitness site and these recipes look awesome!

Oh.. I’m feeling hungry now just reading this post. The salad looks delicious and the range of colours is so appealing. Chia Seeds are a favourite of mine as well as Linseed so I add them in to my meals when I can. I love your use of photos for each stage. If you could add one extra ingredient to the salad what would it be? Sammi
The one extra ingredient that I would add is a little love. When cooking food if you put forth good intentions and blessings for the food that you prepare, I think it makes food taste better.
Taking a few extra seconds to enhance the presentation of your food makes it more appetizing. I haven’t tried the Linseed so I am going to put that on my list.
I thought your website was very appealing to your niche audience. It dealt with plenty of great blogs on helping relevant to your specialist area. The pages and posts are presented great and are well constructed. You seem to truly care for your readers by the amount of time you put into research to give them all the info they would need for selecting their products. I give you a 10 out of 10.
Ive changed my diet up recently and I know because of my busy schedule and /or laziness I dont enjoy cooking a lot and salads have definiately been something ive considered getting into. This is a great site thta has a lot of unique combinations that ill be looking at me in the future.
I love the fact that you break down your steps in such good detail. The photos really help add a visual element to your topic. Personally, I’m not the biggest salad eater, partly because of time limitations, but also a bigger part is that I simply am tired of the plain lettuce with a salad dressing over top. This article helped expand my horizon and helped me come up with some new interesting ideas.
Cheers
In the past we felt that we didn’t have time to make a salad. But now, it has become a habit and have found that if we have all of the ingredients needed in our refrigerator it is easy. The benefit of feeling healthier is worth the effort. Hope that the next time you prepare a salad you get a little creative and have a chance to taste the difference.
